Re: Bivvy Sack Blues -- The Case of the Condensation

My problem with bivies is not water from the outside but rather water from the inside (condensation). How is this one with condensation in cold weather? HJ They use a proprietary system called Breeze Dry-Tec . Works well for me, never had a problem with breathability in cold environments. I've used...

Nice TR, Burchey! I got a good laugh.

Hoppy Ending, 20110116

I was sitting at the Newport Brewery yesterday thinking about the great weekend while sipping on their latest beverage, Hoppy Ending! Started to write a TR but four Pints and 8% APV proved too much to stay focused, so here it goes: Saturday, headed to the Ski Hut at 20:30 for a night mission in balm...

Re: Basic Mountaineering Orientation - Winter 2011

I was more thinking of meeting at the Ski Hut. It might be better than waiting around in the parking lot for people to show up, especially latecomers. I'm thinking of getting up there early and making . . . PANCAKES! Yieah, now you're talkin' .. https://eispiraten.com/images-archived/photobucket/im...

Doesn't look like it will get cold enough. The pineapple express will just wash into the ocean instead of sticking on our summits.
