Johnny and I set off to do some stuff along ACH early this morning. Turns out, ACH is closed to about a mile east of Vincent Gap. No bueno. We went to Wanker Flat and decided to see if Lightning Couloir was in any sort of shape.
We had plenty of snow for climbing the route, though it had not yet consolidated. We had a few stretches of ice, which made for some fun moves, with the rest being knee deep powder and some consolidated snow and snice.
Pitchers:
Johnny
Time to start swimming
Lightning
Consolidated
Spindrift pouring down all day
Spindrift engulfs Johnny
Powder made for some silliness
Climbing up the start of Safety Dance
O HAI
Upper part of route
Johnny and the route
End
The route
Going down
How did that get there?
Now for ACH to open...

O HAI
There's just something sweet about a stare-off-at-a-random-angle-mouth-open-winter-mountain picture
