Taco (Ryan), Yoskolo (Alex) and myself (EnFuego - David) made a trip up to Baldy to make a second ascent of Lightning Couloir. We arrived shortly before 6am to windy conditions, and semi warm temps (minus the wind chill). I would like to say it was a great trip......Ah, what the hell, it was an awes...

This was a nice trip. The temps hovered between 30 degrees at trailhead to 33-34 at ski hut and back down again to about 30 on the summit. Lilbitmo was being nice when he said I did good. By the time we reached the summit, I was probably about 20-25 minutes behind him. I would say atleast half that ...

Well, I can tell you that I just did Baldy summit via the Ski Hut trail on Saturday and there was absolutly no place for snow shoe use. The snow was very hard pack, and in some places, iced over.

After the next snow event would be your best bet.
