What defines a woman as a cow? I'm curious
and hey, Chino doesn't have that many cows anymore! I used to wake up and smell them in Chino Hills, not so anymore, thank god.

Re: Best Hikes in southern UT
Zion Narrows is a MUST. It can be an all day or just a few hours, and its a great way to stay out of the heat. It's 500 feet down from the top of the canyon walls, and the whole trip is almost completely in water. Its great.

How long did the whole trip take ya?
You made it up in 2 hours from where? Just curious, either I'm amazingly slow, or you're rediculously fast!

I'd say you shouldn't go, and if you do go, if you start seeing thunderstorms, get down as fast as possible. There was a wall cloud(tornado comes shortly after) reported in Johnson Valley today, which is 25 miles southeast of victorville. Severe storms also forecast tonight for big bear area. Friday...

Wheres the spring/water in Kelly's camp? Is it painfully obvious when you reach it, or is it hidden off in the rocks?
Just curious, want to make sure I can find it if I get there!

Girlfriend and I are planning on heading up to Icehouse saddle and then deciding if we want to go further tomorrow, getting a 6 AM start time so hopefully wont be too hot as we start. Never drank from the springs, but may try tomorrow! Depending how our water supplies go, Kelly's camp looks to be pr...

As for hiking at night, is the threat of running into animals any greater? I have no desire to run into anything that will uh, bite my head off. Though, I'd be hiking with a partner, with headlights and shit, just wondering if I should be a little more wary.

That's pretty awesome. As I was driving home from the Pomona fairgrounds last night I thought about doing something like this as well, but if it didnt work so well, guess I wont! However, on that note of night hikes, anyone ever done baldy and seen the sunrise from the top? Was thinking about trying.

I loved the narrows, you're 100% right about coming around every corner, and being amazed and awe struck by the view of the canyon in front of you. Walking in water from ankle depth to chest deep was awesome, swimming in it, was a lot of fun. However, my dad slipped on a log on the way back, cracked...

You need a wilderness permit for the angeles national forest.
I dont know what time the ranger station opens up in baldy village, but you can pick one up at sports chalet near you, or just pick one up the day prior.

Anyone going up Fri/Saturday? It looks like snow again on Fri, not sticking unless over 8000 most likely.
Would love to meet up with anyone, plus it may be a good idea to not go up solo.

My girlfriend doesnt see the joy of hiking as much as I do, and so when she goes I try to make it as fun as I can for her. However, when I go off alone she worries way too much but I call her as much as I can hah.
Sad times, if only she'd come all the time!

Re: Three Tees Trail (3 T's)
How strenuous? Anyone have/seen any trip reports recently for this?
I know its ~9.3 the path I'm going(Ice house to ski lifts), lots of up and down? Any tips?
Looking to hike this maybe Saturday, and if anyone's been up there recently or hiked it in the past, any warnings?
