Re: Mt. Baden-Powell: 10-Sep-2011

Yep, I've awoken from my slumber. I hibernate in the summer and now it's time to continue my series on random ridges :) I still remember that night on July 4th. Man, I've never booked it down a trail that fast! A few other signs also got tagged. Baden-Powell use to be relatively immune to this, but...

You mean I don't have to chase you down the mountain full blast at midnight on July 4th  only to realize it's just another hiker trying to catch up to you to ask you what you are taking pictures of in the dark  I like the picture of the flag, if someone put that up in memory of 9/11 I w...

WTF? How do you get 100 people on a Wilderness Permit?
20 at a time

More importantly how do you loose someone with that many hikers together?

Nice work Elwood.

Must have been a warm one.

I'd love to plan a trip (in colder weather) to take pruning shears down the ridge from S. Hawkins to Rattlesnake so we can finally have access between the two or something resembling that.

Ty, Tina and I drove up Friday to the Whitney Hostel to get some sleep before we headed out at 4:30 AM to meet Turtle (Mark) at the road that leads up to Onion Valley.
