what trail were you hiking on? I have wanted to get over there for some time.

I found it a little better coming down from Icehouse Saddle in terms of the view to the other side. I put a couple of cairns in though I don't know if they were of any use.

I suspect the new trail is just going to be carved through the new use trail

Who is it that gets up there and repairs the trails? They did a great job on Ice House Canyon after the floods. I wonder if they also did Timber to Telegraph or if that was just a new path beaten down by hikers?

How far in advance did you have to get your permit? I tried to do this a few years ago and all the permits were gone. They suggested I pay $190 to have a guide take me up…not happening.

I think it all depends on how spooked you get by exposure. There are a few exposed spots, but they are not bad and the rock is very good.
