I have hiked the Keyon Devore Tr post Station Fire. It was in good shape. This was like 1 year ago or so. The loop I did was to the Valley Forge Tr. The Gabrilenio Tr between Kenyon Deveore and Valley Forge was bad. Unless you had hiked it before many times it would be difficult if not impossible to...

Tully Hole according to Sierra Nevada Place Names is named after Gene Tully an early USFS ranger who would rest his stock here

I found if you stayed above 10,000 ft no bugs...

Definitely more bugs south of silver pass .

Purple lake as I passed through was the buggiest spot north of silver pass

I saw some folks hiking with head nets

I just hosed down with "Bens 100"

Mounds of dog poop and plastic water bottles everywhere. FWIW having hauled out 100's of cubic yards of every kind of trash imaginable, with many many 5gal buckets full of broken bottles over 40 years I feel the concerned citizen cleaning it up is the most effective way to teach others what they ar...

For years I have marveled that a metropolis of 8 million+ souls was just at the bottom of the mountain

Very few people for the local population let alone actual out of town tourists
