Don't know how I missed this but great shots Marty, that's one of my favorite spots in the Sierra's, less crowds, multiple peaks, good fishing, great views. Thanks for sharing this ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Ok, i finally hafta ask...what the hell are you guys talking about when you say "beta"? In the simplest terms it means that one climber/hiker/whatever is asking another for as much information as possible so that they may make an attempt on the same route/trail/canyon/cave with the most k...

20110717 Seven Sunday Summits Plus One for More Fun
Zach and I decided that we wanted to hit some summits in the Crystal Lake area after plans to go to the Sierra’s fell through. For me it was time to get back to some unfinished business. In the winter of 2006 I attempted the hike from Islip Saddle to Vincent Gap only to fall short by half a mile of ...

Being how I hate the hot days on the trail, I always like the cool evenings in the summer so I convinced two others that a full moon stroll up Baldy midweek was a good idea :D Jake carrying the load while Woody (Elwood) sniffs out the route https://eispiraten.com/images-archived/photobucket/i908/alb...

Not sure yet. I want to get out more, buuuuuutttttt.... I dunno what to say. Maybe a hike up Ontario would be nice, with the great views, the odd dead forest, all of that. Nice work Taco, that spot where we got cliffed out by the last waterfall in 2010 has some serious "hydraulics" going on and much deeper this time.
I need to get some skills under my belt to run down that one of these days, thanks for sharing that.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Great Trip Report, glad you ventured over from the usual San J side of things, great pictures as well, glad you enjoyed yourself. Big Ass Ham came from Taco who picked it up from David Letterman, who gives away silly prizes to the studio audience. From an article on line at http://www.museum.tv/eotv...

Looking at the second picture it's the tail end of the third chute in the foremost ridgeline, it actually is facing the north and a little east, see picture below.

Needed to get a “little hike” in after spending two weeks in flatland Michigan. Great Trip report, pictures and adventure everyone, some of that canyon looks familiar to me  only more full of water this year, I'm guessing the camping area at the confluence of the Fish Fork/East Fork has changed from the water flow as well - too bad Dav and company were not there this time...
