Nice job, Norma! I've been up that same chute before, but it's not often it's filled completely with snow. Most of the time it's a mixed section of rock and snow. There is definitely a lot of snow up there! Fun stuff!

Those pictures that Kevin posted are from the chute about 1/2 mile above Poopout Hill. That thing almost always avalanches in the winter. The one I'm more worried about is the snow slope from SF meadow up to Dollar Lake.

Yo Taco, I would help plow some snow but I'm not getting near Manker flats this weekend! It's a PITA if you know what I mean. Have fun!

Nice climbing, Tim! That face is on my "to-climb" list.

I also had Garmont Towers and they hurt my feet a little also. I then got a pair of Scarpa Triolet's and they kick ass. Very comfy!

Jeff- Welcome to the Baldy Bowl Yes, it's a good idea to be up the bowl before it gets warm, but there is almost always rockfall in the bowl at any time.

mve- fwiw, I've tried everything you have and I like the liner+smartwool mountaineering+stock insoles the best. But I also use Scarpa's, not La Sportiva's.
