I've been looking for a good deal on ice tools for nearly a year. I Missed a couple good ones and am now sorry I did.

Does anyone know of anybody letting go of any ice tools (adze and hammer)? Or know of any place that has good deal on them? I'm interested in the Petzl Quark, Aztar or similar.

I'd like to find a good deal before I fork out $500 at regular place.

If you happen to see or hear anything, please let me know.

Good luck with finding Quarks for cheap.

I think BackCountry is selling some Naja Carving's for cheap... http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/ ... 0004M.html

I will keep on the lookout.

For anyone else looking for tools, pretty good sale on Petzl right now at EMS--30% off Nomics and Quarks.

EDIT: Sorry, looks like the Nomics are gone. They were just there yesterday for $210. Quarks are still $200.

Petzl Nomic's look alright. Ueli wasn't half bad.

I like Taco's ice tools. they fit his climbing style and they were only about 0.89 cents per pound

I bought my ice tools at about $202.13 per pound.
