There will be a large group of hikers seeing the greenery and water...so I dont know if this can be stopped this spring. I hope it cant be stopped.

I drove by the Eaton Canyon Natural Area on Saturday and the entrances are all still fenced off and closed with warning signs. So even if they don't renew the closure order, the main trailheads in Altadena are inaccessible. Also, the Arroyos and Foothills Conservancy hasn't reopened the Rubio Canyon Preserve. My trail crew hasn't finished restoring the trails. And I think nature needs another year or two to revegetate the area and reshape the water course. We probably won't be able to restore the main Rubio Creek crossing for another year. This last series of storms finally washed away a lot of sediment, and the crossing might be close to the bedrock now, but we need to see what happens with all the upstream debris coming down.

I read on some facebook post out of Sierra Madre that the closure order has been extended. I'm too lazy to try and find real evidence of this.

Thanks Sean. As I previously mentioned in the Mt. Wilson Trail maintenance thread, it looks like everything to the east of the Mt. Wilson Trail is now open and that everything west of the Mt. Wilson Trail is still closed.

Well, I asked AI if it was safe to go to Rubio..joining the modern trend.
It said Rubio was closed due to its programming that land managers have authority.
As time went on I think it was agreeing with me, or it could be condescending...but it had to go with land mangers know best.
Later it agreed with me..? Then it was like my 'best friend'?

Overall not too bad. It summarizes well imo. "The peril of written history(the nanny state)"
So what changed? It wasnt me, but "sources", which were its collective direction. So there was "the truth" and "your truth".

Oh, its very woke and strongly worded when talking about MtBaldy and the nanny state...and dark.."its truth" lol.
It says for example that the people who died were shields for the nanny state. The nanny state lures them out to their death.
A far cry from the land managers know all.

BTW, context: MtBaldy is "purchased adaption"...which adaption/the perspective can not be bought. It says that the nanny state is 'selling' MtBaldy...aka a minature version of MtEverest. This defies so many things which could make it safe.
