Inspiration point (Blue Ridge) parking

Forgive me if search has failed me. Has anyone been here since they started charging for parking? Can you park for free on the other (Blue Ridge Rd) side?

Oddly the ANF page still has the Adv Pass not accepted info. Shrugs.
