Drove up R39 to East Fork to GMR to GRR up to San Antonio Falls Road, figuring I might go for a climb up in Icehouse as well, though it didn't happen.

Not quite, the picture was taken at the edge of the cliff, a bit West of Wright Mtn.

Not hiking related but SG related! Today folks in San Gabriel valley got a very special surprise visitor in the air. A B-2 bomber danced around the sky for about 45 minutes. Nice piece of craft.
