Baldy Waterslide is being called Stoddard Canyon Falls by social media influencers, and now appears on Google Maps as Barrett-Stoddard Canyon Falls.
Whenever I try to educate the culprits, they either ignore me or stubbornly evade the facts.
Baldy Waterslide is not in Barrett or Stoddard canyon. It's in lower San Antonio Canyon. Can someone help me fix this naming problem? I can help dig up any evidence needed to support map edits. For example, here is a 14-year-old video using the "Baldy Waterslide" name, before social media got its hands on it.
If we can convince map editors, maybe we don't need to deal with the social media influencers, other than showing them the revised map with the correct local name.
Can we fix this please?
