Thinking of making an ascent of Mt. Wilson out of Chantry Flat via the Sturtevant Trail. Anybody care to give me their two cents on whether that is a worthwhile hike? I've done Mt. Wilson by way of Upper Winter Creek to Manzanita to the toll road, so am looking for something different.

Mucho appreciato.

Highly worthwhile. In fact it makes a nice loop with the route via Winter Creek. On a warm day, sometimes it's nice to go up the Winter Creek way which is more exposed, particularly on the ridge and on the toll road, and then come down the Sturdevant way. The canyon is so nice and shady. My $0.02 worth. :)
