I finally did The Pinnacle today and both the Mendenhall and Burma roads have been dozed and are completely cleared. I don't know how far up Mendenhall has been dozed but it looks like it is at least to the turnoff for the peak. The work may be ongoing as I could still see the dozer's tracks on the fire road.

Burma had a big slide dating from the 22-23 winter. They must be serious about maintaining that if its been repaired by bulldozer. Maybe because of the power line access?

I am sure that is the reason and the fires precipitated the work which they hadn't done for a while. They don't want another fire starting because of their negligence. I wouldn't be surprised to see similar work being done in other areas.
