Hiked up to the summit of San Gorgornio yesterday afternoon. I got to the summit as the sun was setting. Set up camp in one of the rock shelters, ate dinner and relaxed. Got up early to watch the sunrise then I packed up and was back at the car by 11. The weather was surprisingly calm and mild. No wind with a temp of 50 at sunset and upper 30's with lite wind just before sunrise. Not many people out, had the summit to myself, and saw only 3 tents at high creek. The shadows are cool. I like the San J, Santa Rosas, and Salton Sea the best!

i climbed Los Pinos Peak today in the santa ana mtns. the view was actually pretty good towards San J and Santa Rosas.

i always wanted to spend the night on the top of a high mtn... i think in the winter me and my buddys will put a blue tarp over the top of the Hut on Mt Islip and use it as a ski tour headquarters for a weekend
