My buddy and I are going to do a loop in the Ice house canyon area on the 27th if anyone wants to join. The plan is ice house trailhead to sugarloaf via falling rock canyon, ontario, big horn, cucamunga, etiwanda, icehouse saddle, then back to ice house trail head. We will start at 6:30. PM me if you want to come.

I added the GPS track in downloadable gpx format to my Cucamonga 5 peaks page. It is a great hike!hvydrt wrote:My buddy and I are going to do a loop in the Ice house canyon area on the 27th if anyone wants to join. Here is a link to a well done trip report of the same 5 peak adventure:

Do you think the air quality will be good enough by Saturday to spend ~9 hours out on the trail?

Everything in the Angeles NF is closed right now:

But hopefully will re-open soon when the Red Flag is lifted.

Yes, it is part of the closed area.
These closures are really tough on hiking!

We obviously aren't doing this hike this weekend becasue of the closure, but I think we are going to do mount Langley on Sunday. If anyone want to go we have room for 2 more.
