Last Wednesday, I hiked with my crazy Wednesday crew. We met in Joshua Tree at the Lost Palms Oasis trail. The initial plan was to hike to the top of Mastodon Peak first, but we decided to check out the cool, rock outcropping like we did in the past, just in case we ran out of time.

I've been on this trail before when we attempted Eagle Mountain, Eagle Mountain Attempt.

Anyways, our goal this week was just to make it to the cool rock outcropping and to see the wildflowers. (I will post them in a different thread.)

I had never been here during the springtime so I was very excited, and this trip did not disappoint.

Looks like a fun rock scramble. I particularly enjoyed the butt-shaped boulder. Thanks for the report.

It was a heart but I guess it could also be a butt rock.

Crazy rocks out there. I have to go with Sean on Butt Rock. Sometimes we see what we want to see.
