Probably an obvious bit of info, but it is verified!!! First hand!!! Road is closed starting at Old San Gabirel Cyn Road.

There are some very high water falls running on the west side of the cyn, visible from the closure pt.

Is there a name for them?

Is that across from the bridge? It looks like Cactus Slot. See this thread.

I took photo from about 100 yds south of the first bridge. X marks the spot where picture taken from, red line marks location of falls, red circle locates first bridge and 2nd red circle is what I couldn't see but I'd imagine would also be a falls - perhaps this is what you are calling Cactus Slot???

Maybe @Taco has named it. It is immediately west of Cactus Slot.

I am planning on doing that first canyon soon. It doesnt have a name but i keep taking photos of it cause it looks so cool with water running in it. Overhanging 100ft or so first rappel, wild ass guess.

The second one marked near the bridge is Cactus Slot. Its neat looking and kinda cool but the anchors aren’t confidence inspiring. What else is new.
