I woke up early this morning and arrived in Wrightwood before 6am. The plan was to hike up the PCT by Inspiration Point. I wasn't sure if I would make it since I do not have chains. As I approached the intersection of ACH and Big Pines Hwy the road was closed but open in the other direction. So I took a chance and drove as far as I could. The road was pretty slick and icy. I turned around, parked my car and decided just to hang out and enjoy my solitutde. I watched the beautiful sunrise as it glistened on the snowy pine trees. I was alone for about 30 minutes untiI I saw some cars heading up towards the ski resort. It was a chilly 17-degrees but so nice to be surrounded by a winter wonderland.

Great sunrise. It's brave to be driving that road in the dark.

Yeah it was scary when my tires slid a little on the ice.

You found a great sunrise spot right between the trees.
