I was at Little Jimmy last week and had the good fortune to be snacking at the spring when this little guy came to bathe in the pool. He did a couple wash cycles, splooshing around in the water and then retreating to a tree to flap dry. ?

OMG, cutest thing ever!
Bird behavior is really interesting. I wish I understood more about what I was seeing a lot of the time. I saw a couple of Clark's nutcrackers last month near San Bernardino Peak, and they were interacting in some complicated way -- I couldn't tell if what I was seeing was fighting, foreplay, or sharing snacks.
