Hiked up to West Mt. Fuji today. The trail is overgrown more that it was last time I hiked the trail. I invited a friend and we started out early and made good time up to the summit. There were lots of wild flowers and fun rock scrambling as always. We were at the summit by 9:45 am. There were quite a few surprises along the trail as we headed towards the peak. It was a first for my friend so she was excited until she found a tick on her neck on the descent. Anyways, we descended the Lone Tree down to Rubio Canyon. There was not a lot of water in the canyon. I am always excited when i hike to Mt, Fuji, It's my go to hike when I want a short but sweet workout. However, I wasn't happy today when I found that someone stole the brand new plastic container, I left in a plastic bag (last time I was there) to protect the register when it rains. Instead I found an ugly ass, strawberry-kitty cat make up bag with the register inside. I guess someone was desperate for tupperware.

Pretty! Sucks about the tupperware being removed. I have never been to Fuji or West Fuji. Where exactly is it?

Refreshing-it's in Altadena. There are a few different routes. My favorite is a loop going to West Fuji, Muir, Inspiration and Echo.

W. Fuji is Pt. 3681. https://caltopo.com/map.html#ll=34.2067 ... 9&z=16&b=t

The Lone Tree Trail starts off of E. Loma Alta Drive in Altadena.

From W. Fuji, you can scramble up the steep ridge to Muir Peak if you're so inclined.
