We drove up to North Dakota to see the capitol building in Bismarck. The weather stormed on us and after the tour we headed east toward Minnesota. In Fargo we stretched our legs at Lindenwood Park, which spreads out along the banks of the Red River.
With little time to spare, we didn't stray too far from the entrance. A big bridge crossed the river. We walked across and returned the same way in a light drizzle.
The entrance showcased a memorial garden and fountain installed by the American Legion...
...and a tribute to Roger Maris, the baseball legend who went to high school in Fargo.
