Neat! Random question: are the dates at the bottom correct?

Dima, yes, the dates are correct. I spliced the videos together but not in chronological order.dima wrote: Neat! Random question: are the dates at the bottom correct?
I've been trying to figure out if there are one or two adult bears plus the cub. From looking at the ears, I think there are two adults, but I'm not sure.
I placed the camera in the new location on 11/4 at noon and 4 hours later, the spot was visited by a bear who bumped the camera, miraculously, into a better position. On 11/22, one of the bears lingered for a long sniffing session and left the camera face up which was the end of the videos. The camera was lucky to survive the bears and a couple of storms. It was dripping wet when I picked it up, but the SD card was dry. Props to Sean for suggesting this canyon.

Did you use an attractant or is the location just the attractant?

Surprisingly chilly temperatures for those dates.

No attractant, just the location. I don't want to bait bears with human food. Teaches them a bad lesson. Sean said there were bears in this canyon, and oh boy, there be bears.Uncle Rico wrote: Did you use an attractant or is the location just the attractant?

I wouldn't rely on the temp readings from the camera. Timestamps are good, though.stonehillnews wrote: Surprisingly chilly temperatures for those dates.

Actually, temps are probably accurate. It gets a might bit colder down by the river, even in summer.

The bears on the trailcam look rather plump to me -about to settle in for the winter?
