I would love to attend, but living on the opposite side of the country it's just not practical, it is a great idea however.

No can do but Sunday would be a green light. Aren't we supposed to hike Mt. Waterman for all large get togethers or am I confusing us with someone else?

I'm in! I would love to meet all of the folks whose trip reports I have enjoyed all of these years.

This sounds like a great idea. I unfortunately can't go, but I hope everyone has a blast.

I'd like to participate, would be great to actually meet people that I feel I already know.

It's a long drive from San Diego, but I think I can handle it. Especially since there's a Baldy Burger involved.
I hope the ski lift will be running, since I'm planning on bringing my wife. It's not me that's lazy; it's her. Really... ?

Looks like we have about seven people who can make Saturday (9/30), and one or two maybes. If everyone else is free Sunday (10/1), we could accommodate David. Let me know! If not, let's stick with Saturday. Sorry, David.
The Baldy Ski Lift opens at 7am on the weekends. Cecelia and I can meet people in the parking lot at 7am and ride up to the Notch. From there I'd like to do a very casual hike to either Baldy via the Backbone or Telegraph via the Three Tees. I will be slow, so feel free to join us or do your own thing. Then afterward we can hang out at the restaurant/bar around noon. How does that sound? And, again, let us know your availability for that Sunday, too.

Sean: I'll be there at 7. As a veteran forum member, I hate to admit to never having been on the Devil's Backbone trail (I've only seen it from above), but it's true, and I've been meaning to remedy that defect. Anyway, I'll be happy to take you up on your offer.

Okay, great. Anyone who can make it, let's meet this Saturday at the ski lift ticket booth at 7am. Or up at the Notch around 7:15am. Then back at the Notch around noon for lunch.

For those going up the lift in the morning, here's a Groupon to save a few bucks...
