Mt. Baldy 2008-08-23

We hiked Baldy via the Ski Hut trail Saturday, August 23. We left the summit for the Devils Backbone about 1:45PM. At 2:15 a copter orbited the sumit for about 15 minutes. Everything was normal when we left. Does anyone know what this was about?

This looks like the SAR copter. Can anyone give positive ID?

From the two red stripes, it looks like a San Bernardino County Sheriff Bell 212. Here's a video of them picking up a hiker who fell near the Ski Hut in June.
