just an observation:

I started a post at at 9:15 PM on Oct 13, and when it was posted it said Sun Oct 14, 2007 4:15 am??

Might be set to Zulu (international standard) time, based on Greenwich Mean (London, 0 degrees) time. You can PROBABLY change in in your profile settings, above the avatar controls.

The default is GMT, you need to change it in your profile to GMT-7 for Pacific Standard Time,
