Lookout Mountain Trail (Cow Canyon Saddle)

Was wondering if anyone new if the gate is open at Cow Canyon turnout-Thinking about going up there this weekend-last time I was there (went to Sunset peak) there was a nice gentleman behind the gate-said that the plan was to have a "walkthrough" for hikers, but to keep out the Riff raff-Or is there another way in?

Are you going down into Cow Cyn or up to Lookout Mtn? Access to the Lookout Trail is before the locked gate, a little ways up the firebreak.

I've always gone straight up! The gate is right at Cow canyon turnout (Its new) big Black wrought iron gate

Oh. I'll have to go check it out. If you can't get around the gate, you could try walking up the old driveway that begins lower down on the Glendora Ridge Rd.

If it was just me-well; "gate? what gate?" BUT, My wife & daughter will be with me (gotta set that good example-you know?)
