I had about four hours on Sunday morning before folks showed up for a Mother's Day lunch thing, so I drove up to Sunset Peak. Hiked up the ridge and down via fire road, about three hours including solitude and Almond Snickers at the summit. I didn't see anyone else until I was on the way down.
This is a great time to be out, the weather is perfect and the flowers are blooming. I love the yellow-flowered things all along Baldy Road, they bloomed early this year. Thanks global warming...
