Several Summits of San Jacinto

Sean, Uncle Rico and I set out to do Hikin' Jims Seven Summits of San Jacinto on Sunday, but due to a minor foot problem and some mild AMS, came back with four. It was a day full of off trail route finding and boulder scrambling. I lost my GPS within the first mile off trail, also costing us about an hour of fruitless searching. thats too bad about your gps. expensive trail sacrifice. very cool trip. Just following HJs footsteps could make for a pretty cool bucket list!!

Yeah, HJ has inspired a number of my hikes, with more on the list.

I have a system for keeping the GPS on my person, obviously needs to be improved.

Good day in the mountains with teke and Sean. I spent a good portion of the day looking at their asses as I tried to keep up with them, but happy they tolerated my presence. Thanks boys. Bummer about teke's GPS. We looked, but came up empty. New terrain for me and got to see the world from 4 new peaks at 10k+. Yay!

Very nice, guys. I love to see the different perspective looking back towards San Gorgonio and San Gabriels and also points south and east. All things considered, it's really amazing how much wild terrain remains in the southern california region.

I'll bet the GPS knows where it is. It went to the woods and found itself.

Hey Teke, I didn't have the heart to tell you this at the time, but I saw a crow flying away with your Garmin. It didn't seem to care about the device itself. It only wanted the breadcrumbs.

Damn! Even contemplating 7, not to mention accomplishing 4 is awesome. Fuller Ridge to San Jacinto kicked my fat ass. Kudos to you guys. Too bad about the GPS.
