I got off of work at 3pm and decided to drive to the san gabriels to squeeze a quick camp/hike into my busy schedule. Without a plan and a bit of rain in the forecast I drove up the 2. when the Clouds cleared at redbox and less than 2 hours of light I decided to watch the sunset from san gabriel peak. I camped on the old helipad tucked away from a little bit of wind and rain in my tent I enjoyed some fried chicken I picked up in my haste. next morning I hit disappointment for some pretty disapointing views, and markham for some pretty cool cloud action.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I hit the hills for hiking and trail running during the day. Need to save some $$$$ and purchase some basic camping equipment. What a great way to end the day and then start a new one.

Thanks much for sharing. Never thought about an overnight there. Good Idea.
