Water at Comanche?

Rescues, fires, weather, roads, trails, water, etc.

I am planning a one night trip up Middle Fork Lytle Creek in a couple weeks. Does anyone have advice on spending the night at Commanche trail camp versus push through to Kelly Camp. What about water availability in these locations?

Commanche will probably give you more solititude and feeling of remoteness. There is plenty of water flowing in that fork of Lytle Creek. Kelly has better views on the side of the hill while Commanche is in the canyon. Water is readily available at Kelly below the camp in the small creek or by the pipe. Both places are very nice!

CM, I believe it will be dry, judging by this earlier thread last summer: Middle Fork Lytle Creek

As of 7/4/17 there was plenty of water at the spring just below Comanche Camp. Also, the stream is running for a good stretch above the camp too.
