David R posted a nice detailed description of his hike up Monrovia here. Coincidentally, we took the same route up yesterday. Not much to add to his report, just to emphasize that this is definitely the time of year to do it. Brushy, steep, and fun.

We chose to descend the same way we came up. You have to pay close attention descending this route, as there are a couple spots where you can easily get turned around and end up way off track. Countless game trails up there.

Nice. Never done that one. I'll have to check that one out once things settle down on the home front.
