Boy the back side is really getting toasted eh?

With so many different back side fires we've had. Won't be much green back there to enjoy. Thanks for posting this for all hikers/back packers to take note.

Mt. Baldy (Mt San Antonio) posted a photo on facebook of a heli getting water from reservoir #2 to put out the fire. Perhaps it was that one you mentioned. Thought I would share. So thankful we have them to help.

I called over to the Forest Service today and was told there were about 70 fires started by lightening on Tuesday. This is the one that's still burning. Lightening but no rain. Where's the freaking justice?

335 acres and 45% contained

Firefighters made good progress last night constructing line. Hopefully the storm this weekend will bring wetting rains.

Forest Road 3N06 is closed above the Lytle Creek Firing Line
3N33 is closed at the junction of 3N31
Stockton Flats, Paiute Canyon, and Coldwater Canyon Yellow-post Sites are closed

PCT is still closed by Wrightwood as are Blue Ridge and Guffy in case anyone was thinking about it.

The thunderstorm that started the Gobbler Fire delivered a lot of lightening but no rain. 30% chance of heavy rain up there on Sunday and Monday though. To say it's needed is just a bit of an understatement

Cucamonga Canyon in the S.B's is actually closed as a precaution. When they start closing vast areas because of a 'maybe' you know it's pretty bad.

95% contained and the fire is in patrol status, 3N06 and Stockton Flats is reopening in the morning
