I think that fly is Mothra. Now we're ready to R-U-M-B-L-E!!

Fortunately we dropped some tactical nuclear weapons on 'em before they could take their fight to Pasadena.

Funny thing, I was on Temple Hill (near Cal Poly Pomona) flying my sailplane the exact same day and got this shot:
