I've been fortunate enough to be mostly unemployed for the last two weeks or so. A sampling of where I've been: Santa Monica mountains, Mount Wilson area, and Verdugos at night (well, dusk). In short, weather is gorgeous, trail conditions are great, and aside from a few early season ticks things could not be much better. Go outside!
Temescal canyon morning
Deceased owl talon in Cheeseboro cyn (Simi Hills)
Dogs!
Night hike in the Verdugos (somewhat scary, but we heard owls calling to each other and that was cool)
Oh my! Big lion track near Chilao
Bobcat mating season is in full swing
More Santa Monica scratching posts (please if you see this kind of thing on bay laurel trees, anywhere, take a pick and let me know.)
