Anybody been up Soldier Creek to Lewis Falls lately? I'm referring to the route from Hwy 39 near Falling Springs up to Lewis Falls. It used to be a relatively easy walk up the creek bed. Is it a brush-choked bushwhack now?

Thinking about taking the family there, but I don't want anything too "much" for the wife and my daughter.

Yo! Pipe down, everyone; don't everyone try to chime in at once.

Talked to Fred from the San Gabriel Mountains Trailbuilders. The report? Supposedly there's a lot of downed timber and brush. Not a "family friendly" hike right now.

Hey Jim-

Sorry... been gone a lot...

Went up last spring and the trail was mostly log-hopping with some trail hunting. It was not family-friendly at that time, for sure.
