Ring-tailed cat

Saw a ring-tailed "cat" last night at the bottom of LSA. Cute little thing. How often do you guys run into these?

Never!! That's great. It's because you were there at night.

Actually, where in the canyon was it exactly? I still don't know what they prefer, in terms of habitat, except the books say rocky riparian areas. But was it very brushy, or narrow, etc?

I saw one running around in the Curry Village buffet restaurant in Yosemite. Those things are rad, what a treat to see one in the wild. Madagascar-looking critters.
