Ive gleened alot from this forum. Its time i started contributing more, so heres a start.

Quick easy and very fun run today. Icehouse trailhead at 6am, mild conditions and only a few cars in the lot. Mild conditions for sure, barely enough to warrant a windshirt and gloves, but some brisk wind higher up made us glad we brought them.

Hung a left at Chapman trail, this is in great shape and completely snow free.
Approaching the saddle there was finally some light snow/ice, not enough to make micro spikes completely necessary. However we brought our spikes and were very glad as we would've slowed down a bit without them. This section to Kelly's had snow the whole way, and up to Bighorn ridge as well. returned down ice house and the crowds did show up finally but lighter than usual, they must also be missing the snow.

12-ish miles
3000 foot gain
3.5hrs (+15min break)
Pictures to follow tomorrow

Nice pics. Looks a little dicey in spots. Bet to bring Yak Trax/microspikes, yes?

Hey HJ, thanks!

Yeah, we were glad to have our microspikes. I would not call this trail dicey at all though. Chapman was clean and clear, and the trail to Kelly's had snow but if we walked we would have been fine without spikes. A couple people were doing that with no trouble. But microspikes sure make it easier!
