Road to Switzer's open yet?

Was curious as to whether or not the road down to the picnic area was open. Was planning on hiking down there tomorrow.

It was...last weekend. As of yesterday (Friday), they were re-paving at the top, and it was closed again. Walking the road is no biggie though, so you should go anyway and take the chance.

I'll be there tomorrow too. If you see people with helmets, say hi.

My experience has been closed on weekdays, open on weekends, but it's pretty spotty experience.

Clear creek info station is usually open weekends. They are right next to Switzer's and probably know better than anyone about the days/hours the road is open to the bottom.
