My evil cousin F#ckUp hiked from the top of Lake Ave. to Echo Mtn., across to Dawn Station and then down into Millard Cyn. to see Dawn Mine for the first time. He wanted to share his pictures so I put them on my Flickr page.

Pics.

Looks like the trail from Dawn Station to Dawn Mine is a bit overgrown and has a couple of wash outs.

F@ckUp can't read, so he took a pic...

I don't remember that big rock being there at the entrance. Is that new?

Glad it didn't fall while your cuz wuz there otherwise he'd be past tense (F#ckedUp).

After the mine, did he go back the way he came?

Dunno about the rock, I've never been there.

Yes, he returned the same way. He said if it was dryer he would have headed up towards Tom Sloane Saddle.

I've thought about making a loop from the Tavern down the Grand Canyon (CM assures me it's not technical) and then coming back on the Tom Sloane Trail. Good time of year for it.

Your cousin is probably responsible for thousands of deaths, and flat tires and babies crying and spilled milk. Shame on him.

Better FU than FO!

Might be a bit for me. Still dealing with bed bugs. Major hassle. Ugh. We're looking for a new apartment and basically abandoning this one.

I'd totally do that loop too. Sounds like a hoot.
