Got out to Manzanita Ridge via the Upper Winter Creek for just a quicky today. I'm sure everyone on here has done this hike so I'll spare the det's but they're on my blog if needed.
No snow visible at all.
The bees are out in full force at Manzanita (around that bench that always draws them)
Has anyone been to the top of Wilson recently via this or any of the other trails? If so, whats the snow like?

Haven't done that hike. I guess I'll have to add it to the list since it's apparently required reading.
How are the Salomon boots holding up? I thrashed my pair of XA's quick... but they were nice and lightweight.

i love my xa pro trail runners, but i, too, have noticed they dont last super long. the quests have been through two hikes and are worn in nicely but holding up wonderfully. for the extra cash, i think they will last much longer than the trail runners. will keep you posted.
