You know where your bread is buttered when ads are loaded before content. If the ad server is unavailable, no content for you!

Is no one else having any problems?

I could not read the forum until I added the following lines to my HOSTS file:

127.0.0.1       ads1.myff.com
127.0.0.1       ads1.myff.org

Now not only does the forum work again, but I don't see any ads!

I normally use Firefox with the "Adblock Plus" add-on, so I don't see many ads these days, and none at all on this site. (Taco - if you want me to, I'll make an exception for this board and let the ads run, especially let me know if YOU are getting some of the ad revenue!)

But then a week or so ago those double-blue-underlined pop-ups started, and they were truly annoying. They got through my adblock (they aren't exactly ads, I suppose), so I added a rule to exclude everything from knownow.knewco.com and the double-blue lines went away.

But then I started getting this page appearing every so often:

It warns me that I shouldn't be using ad-blocking software...

If I hit the Back Button and try the link again it usually loads fine. Sometimes I get sent to the error page twice in a row, or even three times, but I'm persistent and I can always read the posts eventually. I can be stubborn that way...

Sadly, such is not the case, so no worries, do whatever works! 8)
