South Fork To South Fork Meadows 12-30-10

Snowshoe trip up to South fork Meadows yesterday 6 to 10 inches of new powder covering the trail was 19° at 8:30 when we started and got up to about 25° so the powder was perfect all day. Could see that it was blowing on the summits but down low it was just a slight breeze. Really fun going through the fresh powder. The road going up @ 7:00 was icy but traffic not to bad, but was a zoo coming down @ 5:00. the Jenks lake road and South fork parking lot were both plowed photo's are here.

Thanks for the trip report and pics. Jeff and I are heading out there tomorrow. Looks like great conditions--can't wait.

So cool all of you did this, thanks for the pics!!!
Was worried about only Ryan and I having to break trail from parking lot all the way to dry lake! On sgwa.org nobody has posted anything so I thought nobody has been up there! Wish us luck plan is to push all the way to Dry Lake tomorrow then summit SG on 1-2-11.....
