Uh yeah. Probably fine. Can't imagine how much "fun" it would be half way up the east fork right now though. :)

plenty of ways to reach them on foot.

The easiest way is the road to nowhere and then down to the river before Swan Rock....preferably the drainage one upstream of the 18 on the topo past Shoemaker.
