Upon arriving on Baldy's summit today (12/11/10 about 9.30am) I was greeted by Sal and Guilermo who were proudly holding up a sign, proclaiming "International Mountain Day. I was so pleased to be informed of this that I took a picture of them and of course the sign, I even got in on the act by telling people on my way down that we actually had a day of our own. I'm going to have a few beers to night to celebrate.
It was great to meet you guys today, hope I got your names right, the wind was blowing so hard I could hardly hear.
