Going up, the start of the ridge was straightforward, but the views were uninspiring. Mining stuff.

Upon reaching the "jungle" area, the poison oak was out there but easily avoided.

The foliage heavy trail heads downhill, reaches a chain-link fence, then starts to ascend a firebreak-type trail.

A sign points left for the trail, but continuing on the firebreak to the right is easier (i.e., less foliage), steeper, and more direct. The trail then meanders down various switchbacks, eventually joining the Fish Canyon Falls trail.

Then it's all flowing water

and moderately maintained walkways. A bit dull, though.

The waterfall was a nice place to end.
