Nice blog you got going there, fellow Pasadenan. Good way to keep a log of your hikes.

That's a nice hike - good way to take in the high country with out the 80,000 switchbacks from Vincent Gap up to BP! :D

Keep the TR's a coming.

Yes, now that the Dawson Saddle trail is available again (since that section of the 2 is open), that's a great option, and a nice hike. A little less gain I think overall too. Nice blog.

thanks guys. i agree, it is a nice alternative to v.g. you avoid the switchbacks, save 1000' of elevation gain, add about 1.5 miles extra. plus its just a darn nice hike.

hopefully hitting up three t's or another hike out thataway soon. will be posting!
