Nice blog you got going there, fellow Pasadenan. Good way to keep a log of your hikes.
That's a nice hike - good way to take in the high country with out the 80,000 switchbacks from Vincent Gap up to BP!

Yes, now that the Dawson Saddle trail is available again (since that section of the 2 is open), that's a great option, and a nice hike. A little less gain I think overall too. Nice blog.

thanks guys. i agree, it is a nice alternative to v.g. you avoid the switchbacks, save 1000' of elevation gain, add about 1.5 miles extra. plus its just a darn nice hike.
